VERITAS

A curated interior composition celebrating the dialogue between eras, textures, and forms.

At the centre stands a chair by André Groult, circa 1913 — its sensual curves and animal-print upholstery anchor the scene in early modernist glamour.
It faces a striking Art Deco mantelpiece by Jean Dunand and Jean Lambert-Rucki, circa 1930, whose lacquered geometry balances rigor and rhythm.

Flanking the fireplace, a pair of illuminated urns by Gérard Mille, created for Madame Aboucaya around 1936, rise like luminous sentinels, their nickel and black lacquer catching the light in sculptural precision.

Above, Fernando Botero’s 1985 portrait introduces a human softness, his distinctive volumetric style bringing quiet humour and warmth to the composition. Resting on the mantelpiece, the ‘Petite Panthère’ sculpture, conceived circa 1909–10, adds a subtle tension between stillness and movement — a symbol of grace and latent power.

This vignette, both architectural and intimate, explores the beauty of contrasts: restraint and opulence, geometry and flesh, art and object.
