VENUS
A dream-like dining scene, where timeless design meets narrative imagination.
At the centre, a Raymond Subes table with four benches (c. 1935), its green patinated steel base echoing industrial elegance, topped with rare cherry red Pyrenees marble. Flanking the table: a pair of seven-branch candelabra by Marc Du Plantier (c. 1960), sculptural and ceremonial in form.
The vase is a contemporary counterpoint by Dana Arbib, adding craft to the classicism. Suspended above: René Lalique’s 'Noisetier' chandelier (c. 1924) — a frosted white glass creation with pinkish patina, inspired by hazelnut leaves, its six “fins” floating like a celestial crown.
This imagined space is less a room, more a stage — where design history plays its part under golden frescoes.
