René Magritte’s Anne-Judith, 1952, presides over the room, accompanied by Aristide Maillol’s Le Couple ou l’homme et la femme, 1896 — an intimate bronze study placed on the mantelpiece.

The composition brings together a Maurice Dufrêne stool, c. 1930, a coffee table, c. 1925, an armchair by Dominique, c. 1935, and a sculptural floor lamp by Marc du Plantier, c. 1930.

Different voices and periods are brought into conversation through material, form and proportion — creating an interior that feels collected rather than decorated, where each object retains its individuality while becoming part of a greater whole.
