POSEIDON

In this ensemble, I have paired a set of Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann Bergères circa 1913 with a pedestal by Gilbert Poillerat from around 1950. Atop the table sits a black ceramic tobacco pot by Süe & Mare, crafted in the shape of a "coloquinte." The artwork displayed includes, from left to right: Balthus' Colette de Profile (circa 1954), Rudolf Stingel's Untitled (1986), and Amedeo Modigliani's Jeanne Hébuterne Seated (1918).
