In this carefully curated interior, I’ve selected a striking combination of art and design to create a space that is both elegant and evocative.

The centrepiece of the room is Gerhard Richter’s "Zwei Liebespaare" (1966), a powerful work that blurs the boundaries between abstraction and reality. Its soft, almost photographic quality introduces a dynamic tension that interacts beautifully with the surrounding pieces.

A standout in the room is André Arbus’ commode, an exquisite example of French Art Deco craftsmanship. With its sleek lines and luxurious materials, it serves as both a functional and aesthetic anchor, offering a sense of timeless sophistication.

Flanking the space are Vadim Androusov's sconces (1938), whose sculptural elegance adds both light and depth to the room. Their soft glow enhances the atmosphere, subtly echoing the geometric forms of the other pieces.

Sitting atop the commode is a captivating sculpture by Endell Geer, whose abstract work introduces an element of artistry and emotion. It complements Richter’s painting by further exploring the tension between form and feeling.

To complete the interior, I’ve chosen Jean-Michel Frank’s pair of armchairs (circa 1939). Known for their minimalist yet luxurious design, these chairs offer comfort while adding a refined, understated elegance to the space.

Together, these exceptional pieces create a harmonious balance of art, design, and function, making the room an immersive experience in both aesthetic beauty and timeless craftsmanship.
