HERA

The centerpiece of the room is a distinguished desk and chair by André Groult (1884–1967), dating to around 1925. To the left of the desk stands a commanding bust of Emperor Caracalla, who ruled Rome from 188 to 217 AD.

Above, a rare ‘Solaire’ mirror by Line Vautrin, circa 1950, adds a radiant focal point. On the desk, a sculptural vase by Michael Glancy (b. 1950) shares space with an elegant desk lamp by Armand Albert Rateau, designed around 1922.

The walls feature an exceptional selection of paintings, displayed from left to right:

Mark Gertler, The Artist’s Brother Harry Holding an Apple (1913), courtesy of Tate Britain.
André Lhote (1885–1962), Femmes d'Alger ou Deux Femmes dans la Casbah (1936).
Jean Metzinger (1883–1956), Conversation dans un jardin (Les deux baigneuses) (1943).
This arrangement blends diverse historical periods and artistic styles, offering a space that is as intellectually engaging as it is visually striking.
